"Founders create organizations. Boards oversee organizations." (Susan McWhinney-Morse, Founder, Beacon Hill Village)
Village founders and board members know that boards must evolve along with the growth of their Villages. Join us for the second webinar of our board development series, focusing on how boards can successfully plan for and experience these transitions. What kinds of changes should boards anticipate and prepare for? What should Village leaders be thinking about in terms of leadership and governance? When does a "working board" become a "oversight/policy board"? Speakers Ruth Ann Watkins, BOD President of Lincoln Park Village in Chicago, and Lisa Hendrickson, Executive Director, of Avenidas in Palo Alto, California, will share their expertise and insights about this phase of board development.
