RMV has many very useful system-generated emails whizzing around. Some of these are very obvious including automated reminders on events, service-request related communications to members and volunteers, and renewal reminders. Some less so including notifications to your treasurer, any “requires approvals” emails, and opt outs. Some are required; some optional. Some you can customize; others you can’t. Your staff, members, and volunteers initiate some; others are triggered by dates/times. Some have audit trails; others do not. Many are on the Systems Email page; a number of them aren’t. And (as they say in ads on the Sunday TV shows), “there’s more.” We count more than 80 system-generated email types.
The April User Talk will be about these system-generated emails (not the Emailing function), where to find them, best practices in using them, and how your Village may want to implement, turn off, and customize them to best suit your Village’s needs. Likely, you will learn about some features that are new to you. As always, we expect to have plenty of time for Q+A. We expect those most interested in this session will be people from your Village who develop and manage office processes and those on your technology team. Please invite anyone from your Village who you think might be interested.
