To ensure the ongoing success of Villages across the country, we all can play a role in educating about and advocating for the Village movement so it not only continues to thrive, but also expands to meet the needs of our ever-growing, and diverse population.
While VtVN keeps the pulse on what is happening at the federal level, no one has stronger relationships with local leaders, and understands the dynamics of their communities better than you - our members. The first step to understand how to advocate for your Village is to be clear on what exactly advocacy is, and, furthermore, have clarity on what it is not (the L-word!). We heard your discomfort at the 2021 National Village Gathering regarding speaking with elected officials, and we are here to dispel some myths and provide you with tools you can use.

THIS IS A MEMBERS ONLY EVENT! These monthly talks are designed to help Villages use RunMyVillage more effectively. Each month has a different topic. The intended audience always includes the technology community within your Village; in addition, others in the Village may be invited based on the planned topic. Each of the User Talks has time for Villages to ask RunMyVillage-related questions to RMV and to other Villages.

This is the Helpful Village Users Group. A regular monthly online meeting hosted by VtV that provides a place for Helpful Village Users across the nation to come learn more about the platform, get advice from other Villages, and to get questions answered. Please send your questions in advance to hvusers@vtvnetwork.org.
Join us each month as we welcome the Federal Trade Commission or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for topics relating to scams, frauds, etc.
